The "Short List" of Important Policies:
-If you disappear with no contact and no payment your commission spot will be forfeited and the model will be sold to recoup my time and materials. That being said, I am very flexible and we can usually work something out if there are issues- just don't disappear on me!
-I am more than happy to create a model in the likeness of your equine friend or that of someone else's horse. I specialize in appaloosas and paint horses but don't mind branching out.
-If you are sending me a model to prep or paint, and the model requires a stand or peg in order to remain upright or to balance, please send it.
-Please do not ask me to copy another artist's work- if you admire a model they created, please contact them instead. I will, however do touch up work as long as the artist allows others to do repairs- it's your responsibility to check on this before you send me the model.
-You have my permission in advance to have another artist touch up my work should the need arise. Any major work should be noted on the model itself in the form of another signature and that includes glossing the model.
-If we are trading and have never done business before, I will NOT send first. Ever. Period. There is 0 chance.
-I do not guarantee live show quality unless I have personally shown the horse myself with success. LSQ is WAY too subjective a term. I will say that many of my horses have placed and qualified for NAN and have top 10'd in the past as well.
-I'd LOVE to see pictures of my horses being shown with their winnings- if you send me some shots it will lead to good deals for you on future purchases! I also casually collect ribbons and rosettes from my winners (in case you're looking for something to do with them!)
If you have any other specific questions about my models, policies and pricing please don't hesitate to contact me using the form below or by e-mailing me directly at [email protected].

Jolts Jubilee (May '17) Show Results from Morgan . . .
Hi Sara,
just got back from a very competitive show this weekend and the horses you painted for me did amazing! Mara's Warlock was 1st in the TB class then Sport Reserve and 2nd in Bay workmanship! Speedy Spots was 1st in Appaloosa then Reserve Champ of the stock division, placed 1st in Appaloosa workmanship and then got Reserve Champ of workmanship! He then went on to get Reserve Overall of the CM division!
The next show they will be at is the Breyerfest Open Show. Have a great day! :)
Can't wait to hear how they do at Breyerfest, Morgan!

Pocono Ponies 2017 was a success! Here are some of the models and their ribbons! First my OF and CM performance trio:
"Let's Start a Rumor" English, "Dawn" Western and "TDH" Other performance. It was crazy fun, but mostly just crazy!
I did't get pictures of all of them with their ribbons but here are some highlights . . .
I don't know that I'll ever plan to show in 4 divisions all at once ever again! I only missed 2 classes but I was annoyed because they were the resin classes for the Cruise portrait model and the Showtime paint horse. Those were two I was REALLY wanting to get out of the show table, too. Oh well, next year I guess!
2017 Winter Shows:
CM Phoenix owned by Karen took NAN cards in Western Pleasure and Trail at her first show in February!
Jaqueline's CM Valentine and Heartbreaker placed at their first show last month!
Emily's Show Team Did well at the latest show in November of 2016. Check out her models and what they earned below!
Taylor's Roxy showing well again in fall of 2016:

Caitlin showed this OF Wintersong at Pocono Ponies in the fall of 2016:

Emily's show team returned triumphant from a recent proxy show! Great job!
Let the 2016 Show Season Begin! Taylor's CM Roxy won 2nd in Breed and 5th in Performance at her first show! Great job, Taylor!
"It's Jake, from State Farm" is his 3rd place barrel racing entry wearing tack made by Ridge Farms. Pocono Ponies Live! May '16
|
World's most boring performance entry won a 5th at Pocono Ponies Live! in early May. Here we have Stoddard, a OOAK ISH, modeling a Yvonda Robinette saddle set. He is "performing" a Western Dressage test . . . he's at the HALT 5 SECONDS part! Whatever- it placed!

Pictures of 2015 Show Season Winners!
Here are some of the latest from Emily's last show on Saturday October 24th, 2015! I'm especially proud of the new Friesian Cross on the lower right! Two first! WooHoo!
2014-15 and Earlier Winners
I very infrequently get to travel to live model horse shows myself so I rely on my customers to keep me up on the show successes of models that I've customized and painted. I LOVE to hear how they're doing out in the big, wide world of live showing and photo showing across the country!

Congratulations Andrea!
Kerrigan CM Appaloosa Othello from 2011
A successful day for her first time out at Plastic Ponies on Parade, loyal customer, Andrea did quite well with a small herd of my custom appaloosas:
"The Wintersong, Kerrigan, was shown as a Sugarbush Draft horse in the Draft horse section.
NAN card for Non-Breed Halter a 1st place collectibility/ workmanship
2nd place ribbons
Section champion!!
And then after the judge has gone through all the custom horses in all 14 sections and horses that hold a Section champion and reserve champion ribbon got to come back to the table and get judged one last time for Grand champion and reserve grand champion titles. When I got there I was like, "I have no chance," because some peoples horses were jaw dropping. Once again they ran through the champions and "Kerrigan by ARR" had the
Grand Champion in customs of the 14 sections!"
Thanks for sharing your great news!

Well Done Ashley!
Another big win for Ashley with her custom windblown Idocus, Begin Again!
"And I bet your wondering about our little boy? He did amazingly! He got 1st in Professional Sport Breed CM's; he was up against CM Cigars, Big Ben's, and even a beautiful Totilas resin that was repainted into a bay appaloosa (which got 2nd)! Then he went on to get Professional CM Reserve Champion!!! Yes, RESERVE CHAMPION! The only horse that beat him was Desi! Lol. So your work is definitely LSQ proven and I'll attach some pics with this. Thanks so much for everything!"

Oldie but Goodie!
One of my first great show horses was "Momma Told Me Not to Come" owned by Terri Becker from Lutz, Florida. He is a customized windblown Stone ISH completed as an appaloosa in pastels and acrylics. Terri showed his extensively in Florida and he did quite well for her! Terri and I have lost touch in the last few years but I'd love to hear how her and the rest of her herd have been doing. So if anyone is in touch with Ms. Terri Becker send her to my site! I miss chatting with her!
Love my Cleveland Bays! This guy NAN'd for workmanship at Trojan Horse Live in Sept. 2013. He was re sculpted with a tucked head, added feathers and a new mane and tail by me and then painted to a gorgeous dapple bay by Karen Dietrich. He's never been out of the ribbons! UPDATE: He just took one of the top spots in another mid west show with his new owner! WAY to go Carrie!

Wanted you let you know that I took him to a live show and he CLEANED HOUSE. It was a small show with only 8 people, but there were lots of nice customs as competition. I could not be more pleased with him. Thank you again :) - Samantha
Way to Go, Samantha! Glad he's doing well for you up there in Canada!
